I found this online and thought it was very good and want to share with you what Dexter Ong says. Clearly worth thinking about
1. Build a strong network.
The first resource of rich people is a wide network. Constantly build and nurture your network. Create
strong relationships most especially with quality people.
2. Master the art of leverage.
Rich people use leverage while poor people don't. Use OPM (other people's money) and OPR (other people's resources).
3. Always strive for personal and professional growth.
invest in yourself. Strive for excellence. Growth pays big dividends. Be bigger than the problem.
4. Give more than what you receive.
When everyone follows this principle, it's a win-win situation. Customers receive more than what they expect from employees. Employees receive more than what they expect from management. Management receives more than what they expect from the entrepreneur (or business owner).
The investor receives more than what they expect from the entrepreneur (through dividend and profit). Business is doing great. Therefore, everyone is happy.
5. When forming a team, hire people better than you.
Don't hire people who have no commitment for growth. You need people who can run your business. If you are afraid that your employees will leave and start a company who will compete
with your business, then accept the fact that your business will fail.
Big companies are run by great teams.
6. Do not reinvent the wheel.
Do not change something that is still working. Although entrepreneurs must innovate, the bottom line is that we must exceed customer expectations through excellent products and/or services.
7. Honor your money jars.
Practice excellent money management in your home and businesses.
8. Learn to give an A to people.
Believe in people. Most of the time, people can reach their full potential when somebody believes in them.
9. Share your blessings.
Practice charity. The more you share, the more wealth will be given to you and the more you can share.
10. Love your business partners, customers, and employees as you love yourself.
Treat business partners, customers and employees the way you would want to be treated. Practice the
Golden Rule.
